A Milestone in India’s cricketing evolution

Mahesh has comprehensively covered the events of yesterday. Here are some notable points about the game

  1. I would rate this India’s best win in the recent past even surpassing Leeds 2006
  2. History repeated itself as India again stopped Oz’s winning streak at 16, but this time in the Lion’s den
  3. India’s bunch of young medium pacers once again exposed the weakness of the world’s best batting lineup against sustained swing
  4. Oz showed what champions are made of with their ‘never say die’ attitude
  5. It is an indication of Oz’s dominance that while other teams try to win, they go for streaks!
  6. The value of a Mathew Hayden at the top of the order
  7. The good spirit in which the game was played. Hope that is sustained and Oz dont go back to their (bad) old ways of on field behaviour

One response to “A Milestone in India’s cricketing evolution

  1. Hardly a milestone. A Milestone would be a series sweep.
It is a single win & should be looked at as a stepping stone towards such things as series wins in Oz.
    Congrats on the win.
