Ranji 34 – Update 4

Here we are back with the latest update on our designated 34 players to watch in the 2010-11 Ranji Trophy season. Many of the matches were interrupted because of rain around the country. The games still produced some good performances. Some of the stars like Yusuf Pathan, Yuvraj Singh, Vinay Kumar did not play becasue of their inclusion in the Indian ODI side. Irfan Pathan is still not playing. Cheteswar Pujara played a game finally for Saurashtra but got only 22. Not the best of preparations for the SA tour though. Badrinath continues to celebrate his exclusion from the Indian ODI side to rattle up scores of 83, 104, 195 & 149. Is anybody even noticing??? No matches were played in the Plate league this round.

  1. Poor Badri ..

Hope he gets to play another test Match. or May be he will follow Akash Chopra’s path.

  2. Sachin Tendulkar has “hijacked” BCCI so that they should not to accept UDRS for any test series. The whole world is working with UDRS, Granted that the system needs some improvements.

Sehwag and Laxman have publicly voiced that they would support UDRS. But since Sachin does not want UDRS, India can not have UDRS and ICC looks stupid – where there is no uniform umpiring standard for Cricket matches.

ICC put down its foot clearly for the Worldcup 2011 – there will be UDRS and BCCI did not have an option.
